Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) Program:

If you enjoy working outdoors, consider becoming a member of BCC’s Trapping Team. Our trapping teams go into neighborhoods to identify colony feeders, trap, and transport cats to be spayed/neutered, On the day after surgery, the cats are released back where they were trapped.

 

BCC’s TRAPPING team:

Plans and coordinates trapping events (including securing vet appointments and recruiting volunteers to conduct all aspects of each event).

Conducts site visits to assess potential trapping sites and get residents and business representatives to sign BCC’s Permission to Enter Property form.

Transports cats to overnighting locations, to/from vets/clinics, and releases cats to field the day after surgery.

Overnights cats the day before and the day after surgery (e.g., in a garage, heated shed, back porch, basement, etc.).

Enters information into a tracking sheet specific to each event.

Collects, cleans, and sterilizes traps/trap covers.
