My eartip is my badge of honor

It means someone cared enough to make sure l’m no longer reproducing, fighting with other cats, and bringing more homeless kittens into the world. lt also means l’m vaccinated which protects me and those around me.

Beltsville Community Cats, Inc. (BCC) is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization

Working with local residents and businesses to employ humane methods to control and reduce the number of free-roaming community cats in the 20705 Zip Code area. BCC promotes low-cost and free spay/neuter surgeries, responsible adoption, and other practices that will decrease the population of unsterilized community cats in Beltsville, Maryland.

BCC operates three programs to accomplish this critical mission.

The Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program impedes the exponential growth rate common in feral colonies.

The Rescue Program employs an all-volunteer, foster-based network to remove young kittens (and an occasional friendly stray or abandoned house cat) from the community cat population. Rescued kittens and cats are socialized to humans, provided comprehensive vetting, and adopted into forever homes.

The Colony Support Program ensures the approximately 170 free-roaming cats living on 20+ commercial and industrial properties throughout Beltsville receive daily food and water, shelter, and emergency medical care throughout the year.

In support of all three programs BCC provides support and education to community members, colony caretakers, property owners, and property managers so that community cats can live harmoniously alongside homes and businesses in Beltsville.
